The young cub sat there, his jaw dropped in complete disbelief. Why would Nuka do that to him? Closing his mouth his eyes narrowed watching him walk off, tears of anger brimming his eyes. "You did so..." he muttered quietly to himself. Now that that was over, Kovu had to deal with...his father. Sure his mother he could sometimes handle on occasions but Scar...he was a MAJOR grump. Padding back towards the lion, he sat down and peered up at him waiting to receive his punishment.

Once in the relative safety of the Termite Mounds, the male stopped. The cub came to him and closed his eyes in preparation for a smack across the muzzle. But Scar wasn't going to hit him. Not that he did not think he deserved it, but because of Kovu's uncanny resemblance with Shujaa the lion was afraid he might break down like the Crown Prince had. Shujaa had been a normal, healthy cub, then suddenly he had the first attack and soon after he died, just like that! Scar wasn't about to defy destiny to repeat that, but nothing would stop him from giving him a good tongue-lashing at least!
"Kovu," Scar began, his voice a snarl. "Why can't you do as you're told and stay where it's safe? That hyena could've KILLED you! What were you thinking? From now on I want you to stay where your brother can see you -- YOUR RUNAWAY DAYS ARE OVER, UNDERSTOOD?!" |

All the cub could do was sit there cowering before the large and cranky male. "But I..." he began. "Nuka told me to.. he spoke back,quite loudly, which wasn't exactly like him but this was a different scenario, and Kovu wasn't about to get into trouble for something that somebody else told him to do. Hot tears of anger began to spring from his eyes. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" he yelled as the tears rolled down his cheeks as he looked down towards the ground trying to avoid Scar's harsh gaze.

Nuka slinks into the shadows of one of the caves, planning to get some rest after his victory over Kovu this day, feeling quite proud of himself. Hopefully this would make Scar see that HE was the best choice, not Kovu to be the heir. Atleast...that's what he hoped. He is completely unaware of what is in the argument between Kovu and Scar, he just hopes that Kovu is getting a really good tongue-lashing.

"Don't you DARE raise your tone at me!!" Scar snapped, disappointed to hear his son placing the blame on Nuka for something he did. Right it was the teenager was incompetent to his eyes, mostly useless, messy and untrustworthy, but Scar was convinced Kovu had gotten himself into that hyena den all by himself. Just like Simba before him, just that he did not need anyone to tell him how interesting and wondrous the dangerous place was... but Nuka couldn't... no, he wasn't that smart.
He placed a paw underneath the cub's chin and forced him to look at him.
"Kovu, look at me! I want you to stay here where it's safe and obey your brother, understood?" |

Kovu's eyes narrowed as a large paw was placed under his chin, Scar's face in his visage. "But..Ah! Let go!" the cub started to say as he tried his best to move his head out of Scar's grip on him. "But I can watch myself." Kovu hated the fact that he was almost constantly doted on by his parents, how was he supposed to be able to take care of himself later on in life if he wasn't even allowed to now? Ugh...this was just so tiresome.

Aiyanna stretched out her long strong body out, she had just woken up from a nap. She shook out her fur, and looked at her surroundings. "So this is where I ended up?" She shook her head and flexed out her claws, letting them dig into the ground. She then began to venture about the Outlands, she tilted her head as she saw a few lions. She made her way over to them. "Such adorable cub" She said as she lowered her head to look at Kovu. "You're parents only want the best for you"

Kovu's eyes glanced up at Aiyanna as she stood next to his father. His eyes narrowed then went back to their normal state. "I'm not adorable.." he muttered as his ears drooped. "And no they don't...Father and Mother don't let me go anywhere by myself!" Kovu pulled his head away from Scar's paw and ran out of the room leaving the two behind.

The princess had been shocked to hear Aberash say that she would make a better leader then Kovu. It was true but from Aberash? She just looked at Aberash, having a new found respect for the girl. Then everything had exploded with Kovu and Nuka. Vitani had watched, being ignored again. Then Scar entered the picture and Vitani had actually ran away sort of to get away from her father.
By the time she came back, it was just Kovu and ... a new lioness? Instantly on alert, Vitani went back to her brother and just stared at the other lioness. Being a cub meant nothing to Vitani. She knew she was more then that and so did everyone else under Scar and Zira's rule except them. But instead of apeaking with the new lioness, she spoke to Kovu, "You know why they want you safe, Kovu. They keep hoping for something that is never going to happen." [/b][/blockquote][/size] |

Aiyanna rose a brow at the young female cub, and guessed she was Kovu's sister. "Sorry, how rude of me. I'm Aiyanna, I'm from far far from here. " She bowed to Scar. "I ask, if I could rest here for a bit, before I go back traveling" She asked softly with a light smile. "Plus, I am great hunter, I could bring a few zebras or deer here," She offered.

The cub's fur bristled as Vitani spoke. "You don't understand...it's always, "Kovu stay here, Kovu don't run off. You're allowed to go wherever you want without Mother or Father not letting you go..." he stated as he turned to face her, a scowl upon his maw.

Kovu's continued tantrum brought a low growl from Scar's throat. He had enough. So you can take perfect care of yourself and don't need us? He was about to teach this little cub a lesson when a lioness entered the scene.
Scar had never seen her before. She must have been able to get this far into their territory because most of the Pride had already departed for the Pridelands Raid. Convinced of that he was the most dangerous thing here, he was not worried about any harm the stranger could do to the cubs -- he could kill her much before that.
But instead of giving any sign of being a threat, this new lioness introduced herself and asked to be accepted into the Pride. Honestly, Scar was a little puzzled by that. Why join the Outlands when the paradise-like Pridelands next door? Maybe Aiyanna was a wise lioness who knew the truth, and that was why she chose to take no part with the Pridelanders and their unrightful king, Simba. This unlikely idea brought a smile on Scar's muzzle.
Letting Kovu escape unpunished (for the moment), he replied to the lioness:
"My Pride welcomes you, Aiyanna. Your hunting skills will be very useful to us. The caves are in that direction. The rest of the Pride will return soon." |

Aiyanna bowed to him, with a feral smile and nuzzled him gently. "Thank you my king" She said as sat infront of him. She looked at Scar then toward Kovu. "If you wish, I can watch over your son. I used to be like him, when I was a cub" She said with a smirk. "Strike fear in him, so he won't wonder off again" She said with a shrug. "Oh, before I forget, it should be easy for me to get on the pridelands, get food and perhaps gain that pride's trust, I am just a innocent injured wanderer" She said with a coy grin.

"I thought you said you were tired." Scar chuckled.
"We're grateful for your offer, but this Pride already has a cubsitter." Scar rejected politely. Not like he was about to trust his son to a total stranger... besides, like they said they already had a cubsitter. Not that he was such a competent one that he did not deserve to be replaced, but he trusted Nuka for the job.
And talking about the king of rome... where was he? Did he think the cubs had dissolved into thin air and thus he was relieved from his cubsitting services? He would get to that later... right now, the girl just had a brilliant idea.
"Winning their trust? Now that sounds like a plan... May you go ahead and do so. Oh, and if you run into an army of invaders in your way, pay no mind to them, they're in our side." Scar ordered. Why had he revealed to her the Pridelands Raid? She would surely think of a way of distracting the Pridelanders... and that would be very good.
However, he had said nothing about their master plan to kidnap one of Simba's cubs, because he wanted to see of what she was capable; any failed attempts would make Simba increase the security and could render any future attempts impossible.

She nodded with a smirk as she bowed to him, and walked away. She smiled as she continued to walk on. She got into a fight with a alligator, to make herself look injured. She licked her hind leg and winced as the gushing blood. She would live, but it still hurt. Now all she had to do is gain the trust of Simba. She hoped it wasn't to hard, she limped out of the outlands, and slowly made her way to the pridelands. She began to feel light headed as she then collapsed on the pridelands. "Help!" she called
