[mistwolf]

"Oof..." Kayani muttered. She looked up to see Bakari, the annoying hyena. She growled at her and twisted away so her back was facing her.
"Go 'way," she muttered, sniffing.

Tojo looked from the prince to Scar.
"Rafiki said..." he started, then shuddered "The medicine, Sire. It's up on top of Mount Killamanjaro."

[Rox]

Shujaa blinked and looked around before yawning. "Yup...Im fine.." he replied rubbing his eye with a paw.


Kula laid under a shaded tree on Pride Rock with a few of the lionesses. Looking up at the sky for a few moments, she closed her eyes and thought to herself, what had happened to Simba? Scar had said that he had died in the stampede, but...somewhere deep inside she felt this small glimmer of hope, that maybe...just maybe..he was still alive. Bringing herself back to reality she looked around. "Anybody else hungry?" she asked.

[Scar]

"You go away!" Bakari growled back. "Can't you see this is an emergency?!"

The hyena then spun on her heels and went back to find Tojo.

"Then go!" Scar commanded. He did not care where the medicine was or how much effort it would take to obtain it; his son's life was at stake here.

"There is no time to waste. Bakari! Assemble a proper team for the expedition: bring Vangr and Bendari!" Scar barked and Bakari ran off obediently.

Shuuja spoke and Scar's worry only grew. This going back and forth between near death and normality... couldn't be good, to say the least. The King sat besides his son and hushed him softly.

"No, Shuuja. You must rest."

[Bendari]

Bendari sees Bakari approaching in the corner of his eye and turns toward the hyena. "News from the king?" He asks, his expression unchanging.

[Scar]

Bakari sighed.

"You won't believe it," she said to Bendari, "The monkey said it's up on Mount Kilimanjaro!"

Bakari looked around the cave, hoping to find Vangr.

"The medicine." She later explained, noticing how she hadn't been making much sense so far.

"Have you seen Vangr?" She asked him.

[Rox]

"But I just woke up Daddy..." Shujaa replied sleepily. "Why do I gots to sleep again?"

[mistwolf]

Tojo looked down at the little prince, his eyes filled with worry, fear, and pity. He was so young. How could this be happening? He had heard of older lions having problems like this, but such a little cub? It wasnt fair! And at that moment, the little bit of faith that Tojo might have had in the supposed "Great Kings of the Past" vanished. If they were looking over them, then why were they letting a little cub, even the son of his enemy, die?
Tojo saw Bakari turn to find more hyenas, but Tojo, his ears back, quickly walked off towards the North where the mountain towered over them. He didn't need hyenas to help him.

Kayani glanced up, surprised. Emergency? What emergency?
"Oh, my gosh," she whispered. The memories of yesterday slammed back into her head. How could she have been so dumb?
"Shujaa!" she cried, leaping to her feet, her initial anger with him fading as she barreled across the savanna. She didn't have to go far, however. Scar was there, and she had to slam on her brakes and almost ran into him. She didn't care. Shujaa was lying there. But his eyes were open. He wans't dead. Her heart was in her throat as she crawled towards him.
"Shujaa?" she whimpered.

[Rox]

Shujaa saw Kayani standing behind her father and flattened his rimmed ears slightly. "Kayani...I..I'm sorry! Please dont be mad at me."

[Bendari]

"You're telling me we have to go that far?" Bendari says with a sigh. "It's going to be fun getting all those hyenas we have to take to stay in line. And no, I haven't seen him." The hyena says, shaking his head.

[mistwolf]

Kayani looked down at Shujaa and swallowed hard. She couldn't beleive she'd been angry like that. When all this time his health was in danger. She didn't matter. How could she have been so stupid? He could have died, and she would have never been able to say sorry.
She lay down beside him and shook her head.
"No, I'm sorry, Shujaa," she said. "I overeacted. And something could've happened to you."
She'd have forgiven herself if he had died and she had been mad.

[Rox]

Shujaa made a small circle in the ground with a digit as he looked at Kayani. "Aw its ok..besides...what the heck were we mad at anyways? Haha."

[mistwolf]

Kayani shrugged.
"It doesn't matter," she told him. She looked at him, then an impulsive feeling took her. She leaned forward and licked him on the cheek.

[Scar]

"Vangr is out on a hunt." A hyena told Bakari.

"This early?" She barked, surprised.

The hyena shrugged "He wanted to look good before the Trio."

Bakari pinned her ears; slightly afraid of not being able to carry out Scar's order.

"Won't you bring your squadron?" She asked Bendari with a respectful bow of her head.

[Bendari]

Bendari nods. He then runs off to a group of hyenas nearby and returns. "Let's get moving." He says before he and his squad begin running in the direction of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
