Sarafina had been resting when she heard a faint commotion coming from the graveyard. She heard something that sounded remotely like Zira squalling in distress. The lioness smirked. The thought of Zira being uncomfortable in any way made her smile; the "queen" was far too harsh of a personality for her to warm up to.
Sarafina strode over in the direction of the clamor to investigate, hoping to run into some food along the way, as unlikely as it would be. Approaching the grim place filled with giant skulls, she saw Ila sprawled and dozing. Sarafina rolled her eyes with a gentle smile. 'Some babysitter...I can't blame her though, we have to conserve our energy more than ever with such scarce food,' she thought to herself. Looking around for the cubs that were inevitably nearby, she spotted some hyenas laughing amongst themselves. Hoping to avoid Zira in her search for the young ones, she weaved around skeletons and rocks quietly when suddenly she heard the little Shujaa's distinctive cough. Trotting towards the sound, ear perked, she discovered the prince along with Kayani.
"Children! What's all the commotion over here? Shujaa, please be careful. You shouldn't be playing so strenuously, listen to that cough!"

"I'm not playing s..st..stern...I'm not playing that hard!" he snapped back irritably. Why was everybody so concerned all of a sudden since that one day? "There's just alot of dusty stuff here."

"Shujaa, do you know how long you've been out here playing? Can you imagine what your mother would say if you got sick again? Come on, let's go back to Ila. You too Kayani," Sarafina asserted in her best concerned mother voice. She gracefully strode around the cubs to herd them in the direction of the dozing lioness.

"But I dont wanna go back to Ila..." Shujaa said digging his claws into the dirt causing him to stay in place.

Ila looked up when she heard Shujaa's cough. She saw Sarafina approach the cubs, and watched the lioness with a hint of disdain. Ila knew that Sarafina disliked the rule of King Scar, and that had always made Ila a little hard towards her. But she did know when it was her turn to step in. Shujaa refused to come away from his game, and Ila gladly took over, leaping down from the rock and trotting over to him. "That's enough, Shujaa," she said and picked the cub up by the scruff of his neck. She looked at Kayani, and she could see the stubborness in the cub's face. "Don't try my patience, Kayani," she told her around Shujaa's scruff. Kayani looked down at her paws, knowing the lioness meant it. She sighed and followed her back towards the middle of teh graveyard. Ila only glanced at Sarafina as they passed her. She truly didn't like lions that opposed Scar.

"Lemme go!" Shujaa said while trying to scratch at the lioness, his small back legs kicking in the air while trying to get down. "Imma tell Momma and Daddy! Help! Help!" he cried out.

OoC: Just gonna squeeze Tama in here, since it seems this is the most popular thread! XD
BiC: Tama had ran over after hearing Shujaa's cries for help thinking a hyena was attacking the poor cub. She knew that they were not allowed to hurt the prince, but hyenas were shifty. Tama didn't believe that they could have any loyalty. Then again who could have any kind of loyalty to a tyrant like King Scar.
She arrived at the scene and looked with disgust at the skulls and bones around her. She looked up from the graveyard to see Shujaa and Kayani with Ila. Ila was holding Shujaa by the scruff, hence the screeching. The teen was relieved, but curious. What had the cubs done? Tama never had to threaten the cubs that she had looked after, but I guess everyone had their methods. She walked over to the trio, eyes alight with curiousity. Her breath had quickened from the run, but mostly it got her adrenaline flowing.
"What's going on"?

"She wont let me go!" Shujaa told Tama while continuing to twist his small body to and fro still trying to get free.

Tama smiled at the prince. Her adreniline rush had passed and she looked at Ila, the lioness that supported Scar. Tama didn't understand why she was loyal to him, but she decided that it would be the for the best not to ask. Instead she turned her attention to Shujaa again. "Well what did you do to make her 'imprison' you," she teased lightly.

"I didnt do nothing!" he complained while a pout emerged upon his face as he stopped squirming for a moment. Hanging there in the air he looked up at Tama wondering if she could help.

"Well I'm sure Ila has her reasons," she assured him. "Besides, shouldn't you be resting?"

Ila gave Tama a "thank you" look, and rolled her eyes at Shujaa. "Shujaa, if you don't stop your struggling, I'm going to find your father and let him deal with you." The words were a little muffled around Shujaa's scruff.

Tama quickly jumped in, trying to reinforce what Ila had said. "Do you think the king would be happy to hear that his son was causing trouble," she asked.
"Hmm, actually... he might.

After a failed attempt at herding the stubborn cub away from the geysers, Sarafina noticed that Ila had decided to intervene, 'finally...' she thought to herself. Regardless of her frustration, she was relieved, as Ila seemed to have a way with the cubs.
As the lioness grabbed Shujaa by the scruff, she gave Sarafina a look that told her she was no longer needed here, so Sarafina simply glanced back and walked away. Avoiding conflict was probably a good idea right now. Now that she was out and about, perhaps somewhere out there she could find some food to bring back to the pride...

Tama smiled and absently looked around and happened to see Sarafina walking away. "Hey Sarafina! Where ya goin'?" Tama called out to her loudly, curious again.
