Pridelander or Outlander? : Outlander, allied with Simba

History : Jabari was a Pridelander who was driven out by Scar and his hyena allies when Mufasa died, and it was announced that Simba was dead as well. Scar wouldn't have any who wasn't absolutely loyal to him and was as different as Jabari was, and had a wisdom that threatened him.

And it didn't help that Jabari had zoned out and made a prophecy about the end of Scar's reign on Pride Rock.

Jabari was scarred by the ouster as the hyenas had tried to kill him, marking his face with what looked like mystical marks. He had found Simba and his allies, but wonndered about things that had been happening to him that made him seem odd.

He had insights and dreams that frightened him, and often seemed preoccupied, staring into space and saying strange things, which caused those around him to worry about him. But it attracted the attention of Rafiki, who saw a kindred spirit.

At the moment, the only one he opened up to was Pumbaa, who he nicknamed "Stinky." Pumbaa was the only one who was able to make Jabari smile.

Anyone who looked into his sad eyes saw a latent wisdom that Jabari was unaware of. He didn't know who he was or why these things were happening to him.

And, he would prove the greatest challenge in Rafiki's life, to convince Jabari that he wasn't going mad, but had a gift that marked him out as a future apprentice and eventual shaman to Simba's pride, and it would be a great challenge to pull Jabari out of himself.

Personality : Jabari is unusual to say the least. He is courteous, but distant. He is quiet, but when he does speak, it goes right to the heart of the subject. He is quite haunted, and people say of him "He looks right through you in such a nice, friendly way."

Prominent Trait : His prominent trait, which he is unaware of at the moment, is a sensitivity to things around him. He sees things in the plants, the animals, the weather that affect him, and he doesn't know why. Eventually, he will prove his wealth to this pride.

Fears : His greatest fear is himself, and the fact he thinks he is going mad.

Goals : He wants to be useful to Simba, to whom he is loyal, but he doesn't know who or what he is. That is Rafiki's task to show him.

Character Development : At the moment, he doesn't know what he is, but what he sees about himself right now terrify him. Eventually, he will gain confidence under Rafiki's guidance, and take on his destined mantle as a lion shaman.

Description : Jabari is lean, thin, due to the fact he is so melancholy and sad, and doesn't eat like he should. He has sad eyes that roam the landscape.

Markings : There are white markings on his face that are scars given him by the hyenas when he was driven out of the pridelands. They look like the markings on Rafiki, which almost give him a mystical appearance.

Note: I will take on Pumbaa as my canon character. I would appreciate it if somebody would take Rafiki, so he would have him to interact with.
