Pumbaa was hungry. This was no news, but this morning he had come upon a particularly tasty beetle and had been after it since. So far, no luck: right before he could come close enough to it, a twig or something would make it fly away. In truth, warthogs were not made for stalking. Their hunting skills could come nowhere near those of a lioness like the one that was sneaking behind him...
At a distance from the previous scene, Simba was angry. He paced back and forth between two large trees, ranting angrily in his mind.
Who they think they are! Just arriving and pretending to control my life like that! He thought.
In his point of view, Tojo and Nala seemed to think of him like some sort of key that would magically make all their problems disappear. It was ridiculous.
But it wasn't the shock of his friends sudden appearance, or of the petition they had made, it was the apparent romance between that Tojo and his best friend what had him that angry. It wasn't fair. For once he too felt like he had been dead all this time, like he had lost his life and let another take over.
That wasn't all, but now his mother was dead and he had not been there for her.
That last thought finally broke him down. Simba let himself fall in the grass and started to cry.
On top of all things, just then another character popped up. Simba heard the steps and couldn't believe it. He used his large paws to cover his face and muttered:
"Go away."

If she hadn't been so focused on the hunt, Sarabi may have smelled the other lions in the jungle. As it was, all of her attention was now focused on the warthog she was now very sure she smelled. She walked low to the ground, but hadn't yet crouched as she hadn't spotted the creature thus far. The foliage was a different sort of environment than the aging lioness was used to, but not so complicated that she was unable to navigate it.
Suddenly, Sarabi spotted a tuft of fur atop what appeared to be a bald tail. A grin forming across her face, Sarabi began to crouch down to the jungle floor, eyes never leaving the flag-like symbol of her soon-to-be-meal. She crept forward, watching as the beast followed something she could not see, taking deep breaths so as to focus on being silent. She stopped for a moment, wondering how the others were getting on out here, and taking in the pig's surroundings. As far as she could tell, no one else knew it was here.
Finally, the lioness was close enough to pounce. Without so much as blinking, Sarabi lowered herself as much as she could, and then launched, an uncontrolled roar spilling from her maw as she flew toward the creature. If it didn't think to quickly, Sarabi would land right on the warthog's back.

((ooc: I'll let you carry on with Pumbaa and Sarabi before I with Tojo))
bic: Kayani saw the male before he saw her. Of course, Simba had dissapeared long before Kayani was even born, so she did not know who she was and knew nothing of him. She observed him calmly, but with a twinge of interest. She sat down a few feet from him, her blue-green eyes trained on him. "And just why should I go away?" she asked smoothly. "I am simply searching for my friends. And you must have seen them. After all, lions, especially males, do not burst into tears at merely nothing. You must have run across them, though I don't think they would hurt you in any way. Have you seen them, though? Tojo, and Nala?" She waited patiently for a reply.

Pumbaa thought he heard something. He turned his large head around, but his little eyes were met by nothing more than foliage. He shrugged, and went back to what he was doing: the juicy beetle had landed on the arch of a large root. Oblivious to the big cat doing the same thing behind him, Pumbaa stalked towards his prey and right about to pounce was he when he heard that deafening roar.
The noise increased when the pig squealed in terror. Fortunately, the arch between root and ground was wide enough so that he plump creature could run through easily. It would also protect him from the lioness' initial attack. Without looking back, the terrified herbivore ran as fast as his little legs could carry him, which happened to be a little faster than one would expect, but Sarabi could probably give him reach if she tried hard enough.
Simba peered at Kayani from underneath a paw, convinced of that this unknown character's witty, girly, remarks were pretty much the last thing he needed now.
"What do you know or care?" Simba retorted bitterly.
When he heard she asked about her friends, he saw his chance to get rid of her, so he made sure to answer that quickly.
"They are by the river back there." He informed crankily, pointing at the river with his head after he had swiftly wiped off his tears with a paw.

Sarabi became a bit frustrated, maybe from hunger or lack of sleep, maybe a mix of all that was happening. But when she missed the warthog and landed on the ground in front of a root, the only sight in front of her being her meal running away, Sarabi's carefully kept composure dissolved. She should have just kept her mouth shut! Angry and hungry, Sarabi jumped to her feet and ran after the pig, ducking under the wood and pursuing him.
Growls came from her mouth, and she didn't care. She wanted the animal to be scared. He was delaying her lunch after all. And she was mad. Besides, no one was around, right? Why should she continue to be the composed regal lioness she always was? She let another roar chase after the warthog and quickened her pace, throwing her paws forward in long strides. Little did she know, there were others in the jungle nearby, and there was a good chance they'd hear her roars, and the pig's squeals.

"Where I come from," Kayani told him, standing. "Females are treated with better respect." Instead of doing what Simba would have wanted and leaving to find the others, she moved closer to him. "And for the record," she said. "I don't care. I'm simply curious. This place is a paradise. Why are you crying, then? I see nothing to cry about."
Tojo's ears flew up as he heard the commotion. He saw a brown shape tear through the foliage, followed by the lean form of a lioness Tojo recognized. "Sarabi?" he called. What was she chasing? Without thinking, he pounded after her, following her through the jungle. What was she chasing?

Then Simba heard his friend's cries for help, and forgetting everything else, he jumped on his feet. But before he could think or do something, only had he turned around, when Pumbaa came running right at him. The red rocket narrowly avoided crashing into Simba, but would the lioness behind him manage to pull off the same maneuver? Lions might have claws, but they did not have hooves like pigs or gazelles which allowed them to make such sharp turns in a race.
Sarabi? What...?
By when Simba actually realized what was going on there, it was far too late. Out of time and ideas, he braced himself for the coming collision.

Kayani turned to see a brown rocket streaking for her and Simba, after the warthog rocket that had just careened past. The young lioness recognized who it was immediatly. "Sarabi?" she yelled. "Sarabi, stop!" She was heading straight towards the young male. She swallowed hard, unsure of whjat would happen next.

She was so close! Sarabi was definitely catching up with the animal, and she could almost taste it. Just as she was about to try and catch it, she heard a voice calling her name. Tojo? He was alive! Thank goodness! She hesitated for a moment, but she had already passed him. She turned her head, unsure what to do next. Stop and check on Tojo, or catch the food she so needed?
But it was too late. When she turned her head back, it was just in time to see the warthog change direction. Seeing her chance, she launched herself forward, hoping to catch it as it tried to get away. But as it moved from the place in front of her, Sarabi barely caught a glimpse of a face so familiar it sent a chill down her spine, and then she landed on the other lion.
They rolled a little ways before Sarabi jumped up and backed away from the lion, not sure whether to fight or take another look at the young lion. Maybe she had imagined it, but the lion looked like a young Mufasa, the way she imagined Simba look one day. But she had to be going crazy. It was just a glimpse after all. She crouched, waiting for the lion to stand so she could get a better look.

Scar asked me to play Timon XD)) Nothing was really new in the jungle that morning well...nothing except that it was quiet. Too quiet. The meerkat had just awoken from yet another nap which was quite common for him throughout the day. Hopping up out of the grass bed he cracked his neck and looked around searching for his bestest buddy Pumbaa. "Now where could he have gone?" he thought as he stumbled along the path, past vibrant green flora and insects of which that he and Pumbaa would probably catch later, unless Simba ate them first. "Pumbaa?" Nothing. "Pumbaa?" he called out again louder. Still nothing. "PUMBAA WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!?" he yelled out at the top of his lungs. "Oy...he'd better be out finding some big, fat, juicy, gru-" Timon was cut off by the sound of squealing. Parting the leaves he saw his friend stuck under a giant tree root. "Hey Pumbaa, what's going on here?" he asked as he stared at the warthog contemplating how he was to get him free.

"SHE'S GONNA EAT ME!!" Pumbaa cried in terror, oblivious to the great leonine accident taking place behind him right then. He clawed at the soft dirt before him, desperately trying to free himself and run.
Simba's jaw fell open as he watched his mother emerge from the vegetation. She hit him hard, everything started moving and the various greens of the jungle background merged into a psychedelic mass. But all the way he only watched his mother's confused face as they rolled. He didn't care about anything else! His mother was alive!!
Finally, and with a thud, they stopped spinning. Still stricken by confusion and shock, the lioness backed off enabling Simba to shaky, and like a cat that just got out of the washing machine, rise on his paws.
"Mom!" He barked, unbelieving.
Could it be true, what he was seeing? Or could it be a cruel trick of his imagination... his mother's name, after all, meant mirage.

Tojo slowed to a halt as Sarabi collided with Simba and the two rolled. He watched as Simba collected himself and saw it was his mother. Tojo wanted to make sure Sarabi was okay, but, even though he did not Simba, he decided to let the two be. He also saw another figure to the side. She was watching the scene with her own shocked expression. Tojo gaped at her. "kayani?" he demanded. 'What...what are you doing here?" Kayani glanced over at him. "I came with Sarabi," she said. "I was looking for you and Nala. Are you okay? Is everything okay?" "Not even close," Tojo muttered as he watched the mother and her son reunite.

This had to be a trick.
After all, Scar had said that Simba was dead. Sarabi felt weak, and she was only partly sure that she was still on her feet. The young lion stood and called her mom. Oh, how long had it been since she had heard that word! Sarabi stared at the lion in shock. Slowly, softly, she spoke, her voice cracking as she said, "Simba...?" Her dark eyes took in the figure of what she was starting to realize really was her long lost son. "You're alive?"
Sarabi took a step towards him but stopped for a second, trying to wrap her mind around it. How many times had she wished she could see Simba again? Finally, she pushed past the confusion and overwhelming feelings and went to Simba, hugging him and fighting tears. "Scar told us you were dead...I never wanted to believe it..." she whispered, partly to herself, and partly to her son.

Timon's raised his hand to his face and did a face palm before climbing up on top of the limb and hopping down trying to push Pumbaa's rear with all of his might. "Geeze why do I always have to save your-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he let out a shriek of terror, and for good reason too. A giant lioness was heading right towards the duo. Clutching onto Pumbaa for a few moments, he decided that his hide would probably be better if he hid in a more concealed spot such as behind the tree limb. Peering over he saw the female stop short. "Don't worry buddy I'm here for you, everything's gonna be ok." he stated while petting the frightened warthog below, though he was mostly saying it to reassure himself.

Nala kept up with Tojo quite easily but her tail dragged in the dust, showing how unhappy and sad she was. She really hoped nothing was wrong with Sarabi, it would kill her to know that Simba's mother died because of her. Her eyes suddenly widened and she sped up, what if Kayani was with Sarabi!? Nala would not let anything happen to that cub, nothing! She had thought that the cub would have been safer with Sarabi then with her. Nala hadn't expected Sarabi to just show up.
She and Tojo came upon the lioness growing at a wild pig. There was a meerkat. The pig made her stomach growl but she was torn away by seeing Simba and Kayani showing up as well. What was going on? [/size]
