((ooc: Yay! I just didn't want people thinking I was invading every rp.))
bic: Kayani couldn't sleep. She lay amongst the bodies of the other lionesses, feeling stifled. She kept thinking about Shujaa. She'd met him only that morning, and already she wanted to see him again. She wanted to get out of here and play some more. But it was nightime! Would he even be awake? She glanced around. It wasn't complelty night yet, but most of the lionesses were asleep, worn out by a day of hunting and finding nothing once again.
Kayani lifted her head and glanced around. Most around her were dozing. Slowly, she stood, making sure her steps were quiet, then picked her way around the sleeping bodies to the cave entrance. She glanced back, but didn't think anyone had seen her. "Shujaa, here I come," she muttered with a smile and jumoed happily out of the cave and towards the face of Pride Rock, hoping she'd find him there. But she was stopped short when she heard voices. As she rounded a large rock, she froze, breath caught in her throat. Before her, only a few yards away, was Zira standing with a cut-up Shujaa. Kayani backed away, wanting to go to her new friend, but scared to death of Zira. She lay down, watching silently, hoping Zira wouldn't see her.

Zola was worried now. If Zira didn't like her, she might get kicked out. Of course, if Sarabi was still around, then Zola must have a chance. Shujaa argued with his mother and they snapped back and forth, Zira demanding the truth of her young son. Finally Shujaa admitted it was birds and Zola sighed. At least he hadn't been attacked. Zola didn't want to see anything happen to the young cub, regardless of how she felt about Scar vs Mufasa. "I can take him to Pride Rock..." Zola said, stepping forward a bit and waiting for Shujaa. She caught a glimpse of something or someone near the caves, but the figure disappeared just as quickly, so Zola assumed it was a hyena running around, or maybe a bird or something. Her stomach growled at that thought, but the chances of that were rather slim, so Zola dismissed the idea.
