Sifa lowly trotted around the waterhole.Twice. She stopped after she got bored of walking around in circles and getting dizzy. Sifa clawed the rock, then she jumped up to the top. She sat down, looking over the horizon, watching the sun rise in the morning was the thing she liked to do from time to time. It was only a few times she'd go out to the water hole to watch the sun rise. Sometimes she goes out at night to watch the sun set. Her tail flickered and flew in the wind as she looked down at her paws.

Nia had been resting in the shelter of the shade on the rocks of the Prideland. She was still young, almost nearing teenager age. So there was still enough of a cub in her, not yet mature but getting close. Her ears perked as she heard the clatter of rocks nearby and finally looked up. Another female? She wasn't entirely sure. But she picked herself up to go see.
She was a shy one, but it didn't hurt to make friends every once in awhile, especially in these dark times. Once she saw the lioness come into view, she stopped clearing her throat a bit, "Umm hello?" She asked sofly and a bit nervously, not entirely sure how to react to this lioness. But she did look rather bored.

((ooc: I, of course, must stick my nose into this rp. And I haven't rp'ed Kayani for a while anyways, so I might as well.))
bic: The sunrise, even though the land was dusty and drying up like a puddle in the sun, was beautiful. And even though she was still a cub, Kayani loved to watch it. And she loved to sneak away from the other lionesses, anyways.
The young cub, with the blue-green eyes and the brown stripe down her back, walked through the tall savanna grass, seeing the sun rise in the distance. Finally, the grass broke, becoming a short and ground-hugging from years of being trampled by thirsty animals. Because here was the watering hole. Kayani trotted up to where the edge of the water lapped against the shore, and just abrely touched her toes into it. She sat, allowing the cool water to cool her hot feet. She turned her eyes to the rising sun and watched silently.
Her ears pricked as she heard voices. Turning her head, she saw the lionesses Nala, and Nia. Kayani put her ears back. What if they saw her and made her go back? Standing, she slowly backed up into the tall grass, knowing it might be too late.

Ooc: Not a problem at all, Mistiwolf, though I could bring Nala into the roleplay I hadn't planned on it.
Bic: Nala on the other hand was still resting in the shade with several other lionesses near pride rock. Her noise smelled something strange, perhaps another scent of a lion was nearby? It was one that she couldn't recognize right away. She had already spotted Nia and Sifa not far from where she was sitting. They two were at the water's edge. She streatched her tired muscles, since today had been a rather slow day for her as the lions rested in the sand.
Coming over she carefully went to go and investigate who was here, "Hello? There's no need to be frightened, we're just a group of lionesses lounging for the day." She said her voice was soft and assuring. Probably any male would have fallen for it, but this was different, it was a young cub who was probably cautious every step of the way. Then she decided she should introduce herself to the cub, "My name is Nala."

((ooc: Oh, hah, I realized that I posted that Kayani saw Nia and Nala. *smacks forehead*. I meant Nia and Sifa. I guess I immediatly thought you were playing Nala. Heh. Well, now you are! =3 ))
bic: Kayani backed up a step when the lioness approched her, cautios. But then her ears pricked back forward and she regained some of her courage. She recognized this lioness. "I already know you," Kayani said to her. "You're Nala. You live in the den with Sarabi and Sarafina and the other lionesses. You know me, don't you? I'm Kayani." She smiled at the lioness, not afraid of her at all. She knew that Nala was a friendly lioness. She'd seen her around before, and she knew her mother, Sarafina and the old Queen Sarabi.

Ooc: Lol it's alright, I just wanted to use Nia for the first time since I haven't really used her at all either.
Bic: "Oh so you have heard of me before?" Nala asked but she wasn't that surprised. Many knew of her family residing in Priderock for a long time. She couldn't just leave this young cub out here by herself, it seemed wrong, and it didn't seem like she had amother of her own, otherwise she would have been here by now to take the cub. Or be nearby. "Well, if you want, you can join us back in the shade. You have nothing to fear of us."

"I'm not afraid," Kayani admitted. 'I just don't want to get sent back to the den." She looked up at Nala with pleading blue-green eyes. "Please don't send me back to the den, Nala!" she pleaded. 'it's soooo boring in there!" The shade sounded nice, and it was outside. She really, really did not want to go back in the den where all she was allowed to do was sleep and be quiet.

The sun was high and the climate was very, very, hot. The scarce wind that blew only threw the heat of the scorching ground on the backs of the unfortunate animals it ran across. Bakari's pink tongue hung from her panting jaws in a sadly ineffective way of cooling her temperature.
"and if it gets any hotter," the hyena on her side complained, "the rocks will catch on fire!"
Bakari emitted a mix between a sigh and a grunt.
"I think I'm one of those rocks!" she whined.
But soon enough the greenery surrounding the water hole, seemingly out of place in this desert, became visible, and the refreshing scent of water revived the exhausted Bakari with new strengths that made her start running all of a sudden.
"cannonball!" the hyena warned as it leapt into the delicious waters, rising up tsunami waves in all directions, but particularly towards the resting lionesses, hinting that it might have been on purpose.

Ooc: Maybe I had been meaning to post also.
Bic: Nala stiffened as the cold water hit her fur, it seemed just like yesterday all over again. She had been at least with another lion but this seemed unintentional to her. She realised after looking back at the hyena that had done it was the same one the previous day that she had encountered. "Bakari, is it?" She asked with surprise.
Nia on the other hand, had been a bit surprised from the sudden amusement that the hyena had gotten into. Was it really true that hyenas knew of the word fun? She wasn't entirely sure. But got curious and came close to the water's edge to see what was going on...and maybe...join in.
