It was Vangr's day off, and with Bakari's absence to Kilimanjaro, he knew he had to find himself a quick occupation to utilize the unfailing "I'm busy" excuse when someone came in asking who would take care of Nuka and Shuuja. Last night he heard Bakari ranting about how "The lionesses were speaking rats and buzzards of Scar once more" and "Someone needed to keep an eye on them". Upon noticing the slightest trace of concern in Shenzi about the matter, the dark hyena decided he would take that job.
Vangr went towards the Grove, where most lionesses were chilling out and chatting with their friendships. He strode with determination, and all but the younger and more excited lionesses fell silent in sight of him. Vangr stopped underneath the thin and useless shade of a dead tree and dropped to the ground. He was very tired from all the hunting he now had to do, and everything ached. A night's sleep didn't seem enough to relieve the tiredness he had been accumulating... he hoped Tojo's team would do some good.
Seeing the hyena-mop wasn't a threat, the chatting resumed. The lionesses' voices buzzed in Vangr's ears and he covered his face with his paws. Sure this was better than babysitting the Princes? Vangr didn't have to think about it -- yes!
He rose to a sitting position, slowly, tiredly, and putting on his most polite smile decided to get involved into some coversation...

Nia sighed listening to the hyena's constant chatting seemed to be taking a toll on her. Every bit of her laugh filled her ears making it even more unbearable, could she change things for a bit and move to another lioness. It was another hot day making things only worse as they sat together, surely this was some sort of torture.
"So that's what I said when he said that and she moved." She was still going at this rate it would be late in the afternoon before she got the hyena to finally stop chattering away.
Nia sighed trying to find a way to stop the painful noise coming from this hyena that wouldn't be so...mean. She wasn't the one to be a mean lioness that's for sure but she'd do anything to get this hyena to stop permanetly. "Look Adisa I think it's time you went back with the other clan members? I think Shenzi wants you." The instant thought of Shenzi sent a chill down the hyena's back as she shook it off.
"S-shenzi? Oh I guess I could, I mean I don't have anything else to do here right now." Adisa said starting to stand, though she had noticed another hyena nearby that she had seen once or twice before. Though the name of the hyena had slipped her mind.

"That's not true." Vangr wrinkled his nose at the lioness' words. He didn't like to play with serious stuff, or see others do it.
"Shenzi and the other Two were going to watch over the Princes today." He said with a smile. Now, that was something worth watching, and he would probably go see them in a while.
The mention of the Princes began a wave of murmuring about Prince Shuuja's health and each lioness started predicting and theorizing. Not particularly interested in the subject, Vangr contented with watching the other hyena, wondering what it would do.

Had she been wrong, the excuse was used against her? She sighed not entirely sure to say, though she was sure that Adisa would find some way to talk as she watched the two lions. "I didn't know honestly." She managed to say as the hyena cackled a bit at the thought.
"Whew, to think you almost scared me." Adisa said with a sigh of relief as she started to come back with the group of lionesses as they spoke. Though, Nia had never intended on scaring her just to get her to move away from this constant laughter and chatting that she had done. "Shenzi is something to be fearful of, don't you think?"

Vangr tilted his head to a side. He had never considered Shenzi to be a frightening character, to be honest, although he could remember being surprised by her sudden wrathful outburst, particularly as of late.
"If you get in her bad side, definitely!" The hyena replied.
"But I wouldn't worry. Our Matriarch is a nice hyena. And if you mess up she forgets quick." Vangr rolled his eyes at all the times the Matriarch had forgiven Bakari for messing up everything, yet on his black lips a smile remained.
Not wanting to be rude, the hyena rose into a sitting position, no more being a hyena-mop on the floor.
"So what are your plans for today?" He asked her. "I got sent here to watch the lionesses, because I heard they might be conspiring..." He whispered, but knowing it was just a false alarm since he could see that they, as usual, didn't seem particularly threatening.

"Weew isn't that a relief that she doesn't have the greatest of memory." Adisa said as she sat down once again in the dusty ground with the other lionesses. Nia rolled her eyes, it looked like she wasn't going to get her way today. 'I hope the same is said for you.' she thought to herself looking back at the hyena who wouldn't stop talking.
She then turned to Vangr as spoke calmly, "Well I was going to go do a bit of exploring...but it's just too hot to move and with all the news going around, it seems hard to really do that without being unnerved by it."
